You are looking at the pride of our private collections we finally were able to get our hands on. No we do not have the original box or instructions. This one is coming up on 30 years old.
Chassis has been ran with minimal signs of use. FRESH original body set with “reproduction” sticker tribute from MCI Racing, meticulously detailed and properly assembled.
Vintage 1980’s electronics fit for your display collection. Took us many years to get our hands finally on one and it looks amazing.
The only vintage model built on the TA-02SW (short & wide) chassis. Also the only TA01/TA02 with silver coloured gearboxes until the re-releases of the TA02SW/S chassis started in 2015. The Taisan Starcard is now a much sought after Tamiya car. The highly detailed Porsche body (modelled on the Japanese sports car championship winner) makes for a great looking kit. A must for the collection if only to look at…

The TA02SW chassis provides shaft-driven 4WD, and offers a short (236mm) wheelbase and wide tread setup in the traditional Porsche style. 4-wheel double wishbone suspension is fitted with CVA oil dampers. Enclosed front and rear gear cases have built-in diff gears, with a ball differential in the rear. Comes with 2-piece wheels, tires, and inner sponges – the rear uses wide types.
